Poetry Lounge: To Reach Beyond I&II

TO REACH BEYOND

Led by blind guides
I ambled along darkended trails of contradiction
Forced paths only yield ditches eventually
Yet from the cracks in the bottom of mine
I struck a stone...treasures long ago buried
Embracing me with the promise of freedom.

"WhO Are You?"

The inquiries echo silently with-out me now
since answers fail to mirror your expectations
The tide of social amiguity attempts submergence
of my spring to dilute hope in it's murky grasp
To change a well of opportunity to a stagnant
cesspool

"WhO Are You?"

I am the kaildescopic rainbow which lances the
glittery reflection of our foe I am the solace
found in dreams Ideals lifted high as redwoods
and above The black sea subsides as more of us
are born The flood that swallows surrounds Yet
the ground on which the visionary stands is at
hand Simply reach beyond the waves superficial
surface

To Reach Beyond Two

Idle Hands

Once I rhapsodized of lost treasures
All in my path has consumed my vision
Like a passion, I've fashioned my ditch
to be full of possessions of blind guides

"Where Have You Gone?"

I've followed a false rainbow unlike
the phantasmagoria I envisioned
The world is cold and I wore nothing
I bought the liquid diet of watery
materialism and am humgry
The two are alike you see

"Where Have You Gone?"

In my freedom I found a boulder
bolder than the rest
This rock is not the block of solidity
of which I've searched
Yet this is the frock I wear
One of overwhelming strength and ugliness
the fibers too thick

"Where Have You Gone?"

Power is an useless word
For without the ablility to see the destination
the energy is wasted once more
Time to go back to digging my ditch
It seems there is more depth to be found
and maybe the stone of truth to be uncovered
